Subject: "Vietnam Trips & Last
Chance to Help in 2005!"
...It's hard to believe that there are only five
days left in 2005!
If you've ever thought about going to Vietnam
or returning to Vietnam for the first time since the war, or if you want to support the work we do there, now is the
time to do something about it :-).
Attached are trip announcements for two summer
opportunities in Vietnam. After reviewing them, if you are interested, please email or give me a call at 803-405-9926.
2005 has been a challenging but exciting
year for Vets With A Mission http://www.vwam.com. Giving to the Tsunami disaster and the two massive hurricanes that hit
the US - Katrina and Rita - has hurt VWAM financially. We need some year-end relief to get us back on track financially and
to eliminate an end-of-year deficit.
In spite of that challenge we are grateful to
people like you from all around the United States, Canada, Ireland, Great Britain, Australia and even Vietnam who have enabled
us, because of their support, to offer ministry to the Church and Christians, and provide humanitarian programs and projects
to thousands of poor elderly, women and children in Vietnam in 2005.
As we approach the end of this year - five days
remaining in the calendar year - I'm asking you to consider helping us help those less fortunate than you and I. As many of
you realize, when you make a gift to Vets With A Mission you help us:
* Provide
medical care and health services to poor
Vietnamese.
* Construct medical facilities
in the poorest areas of
the
cities or in the rural countryside-jungle where
none
exist.
* Assist the Vietnamese
Church and Christians.
* Offer Vietnam vets a
life-changing experience.
I would appreciate it very much if
you would consider participating on one of our volunteer teams next summer, or remember VWAM in the final
days of 2005 with a year-end gift. If you have already donated this month or this year, or should this message
arrive after you've sent a gift but before we acknowledge it, I want to say "thank you!"
But, if you haven't made a gift, VWAM has made
it easy and secure for you to donate online. Simply go to
Or you can mail your contribution to:
POB 202
Newberry, SC 29018-0202
On behalf of myself and Joette, the Board of
Directors of VWAM, and the Vietnamese who look to us for relief, hope, and encouragement, I want to wish you and yours the
very best in the coming year. May God bless you!
Charles Ward, Executive Director
Vets With A Mission
