PTSD was in the eyes of this brave and
honorable Iraq War Marine. The "THOUSAND-YARD STARE" we vets call it...
(He is among his fellow brother and sister
PTSD Vets. He is far from alone!)
Dear Matthew B. Stannard,
I can't thank you enough for your great article on PTSD.
I've been battling PTSD for about 35 years. During the Vietnam War, I served in the Marine Corps Combined Action Program
in the Duc Duc Refugee Village (Details below). Although I served
honorably in that peasant-farming village, I was still labeled with the stigma thrown at all Vietnam Vets.
The stigma of having PTSD was much worse. Even a law firm, I hired to represent me
in a divorce case was able to take advantage of the PTSD Stigma. http://www.americans-working-together.com/id107.html Hopefully, with more articles about PTSD, the PTSD Stigma will finally disappear and PTSD Vets will
not be discriminated against. (But we need more backing from the American People.)
Thanks Again!!
The communist destroyed my village seven months after I left it. Hundreds and hundreds
of innocent peasant men, women and children were killed, wounded and reported missing. Over two thousands (2,000) homes
were burned to the ground in my village by the communists.
