Defeatism is acceptance of defeat without struggle.
During the Vietnam War,
the Vietnamese communists thought American Political Defeatism was great. (It's a true piece of history.)
American Political Defeatism gave the Vietnamese communists the will to continue the war, and kill as many Americans as possible.
Even if it meant, they would lose every battle... They knew in the end, the American People would grow tired of
the loses. In the end, the Vietnam War was dragged out and over 59,000 Americans are now on THE WALL in Washington DC.
How do you think today's terrorists
feel about some members of the United States Congress Defeatism?
What would Republican Abe Lincoln and Democrat Woodrow Wilson do...
During the American Civil War, Republican President Abe Lincoln's administation placed many northerns
in prison for supporting the southern states' war effort.
America's president
leading up to, and during World War I was Democrat Thomas Woodrow Wilson.
To stop defeatism at home, Wilson pushed the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918 through Congress to suppress
anti-British, pro-German, or anti-war opinions. He welcomed Socialists who supported the war like Walter Lippmann, but
would not tolerate those who tried to impede the war efforts, many of whom ended up in prison. His wartime policies
were strongly pro-labor, and the American Federation of Labor and other unions saw enormous growth in membership and wages.
During the Vietnam War, Jane Fonda and John Kerry are just two Americans who jumped over the
line into treason.
What would President Abe Lincoln and President Woodrow Wilson do with the
American political leaders, celebrities and news reporters, who have been pushing DEFEATISM across America since
9-11?
There must be something Congress and the United States Senate
can do about DEFEATISM in Congress and the United States Senate. There must be
some level of open political DEFEATISM that should be considered at least unethical.
Espionage Act of 1917
The Espionage Act of 1917 was a United States federal law passed shortly after entering World War I, which made it a crime, punishable by a $10,000 fine and
20 years in jail, for a person to convey antipathy with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies. The legislation was passed at the urging of President Woodrow Wilson, who feared any widespread dissent in time of war constituted a real threat to an American victory.
The laws were ruled constitutional in the United States Supreme Court case Schenck v. United States, 249 U.S. 47 (1919).
The law was later extended by the Sedition Act of 1918, which made it illegal even to speak out against the government.
During and after World War I the Espionage Act and the Sedition Act were used in prosecutions that would be considered constitutionally
unacceptable in the U.S. even in the political climate after the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York's World Trade Center. While much of the laws were repealed in 1921, major portions of the Espionage Act remain part of U.S. law (18 USC 793, 794). The libel decision
of Sullivan v. New York Times (1964), by granting special protection to criticism of public officials, largely eliminated
what remained of the crime of sedition in the United States. [1]

Sedition Act of 1918
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The Sedition Act of 1918 was an amendment to the Espionage Act of 1917. The Sedition Act forbade an American to use "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language"
about the United States government, flag, or armed forces during war. The act also allowed the Postmaster General to deny mail delivery to dissenters of government policy during wartime.
In practice, the Espionage Act, as amended by the Sedition Act, was used to persecute individuals
or groups who disagreed with presidential or congressional policy. Historically, these types of acts have been suggested and/or
passed when a presidential administration or congressional majority has lost general public support and additional, judicial
tools are necessary to minimize public dissent. The Sedition Act was the most recent attempt by the United States government
to limit “freedom of speech,” in-so-much-as that “freedom of speech” related to the criticism of the
government, or, more applicably, the political policies of the presidential administration or congressional majority.
The Espionage Act made it a crime to help wartime enemies of the United States, but the Sedition
Act made it a crime to utter, print, write or publish any disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language about the United
States' form of government.
Socialist Eugene V. Debs was sentenced to 10 years in prison under this law.
Do you think three and a half years of Defeatism by some members of Congress impacts the War on Terror?
If Yes, in what way?

USS ARIZONA Marine Remembrance At Pearl Harbor
UPDATE: We saved the Marine
Corps Rememberance Memorial in Pearl Harbor From The National Park Service.
UPDATE: A couple
of years ago, I was the Operations Officer for the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, on the waterfront between the USS ARIZONA
and the USS BOWFIN. The Commandant of the Marine Corps was the featured speaker at the dedication of the USS ARIZONA Marine
Remembrance, 10 November 2006. The National Park Service, which administers the USS ARIZONA Memorial is renovating all of
Halawa Landing, the site of the Marine Remembrance. The Regional Director of the Natl Park Service Western Region, Jon Jarvis,
stated on the local TV news that the Marine Remembrance would be removed. I challenged him on that statement and convinced
him that would not happen without a fight. I passed the word to (disabled vet and webmaster) Jack Cunningham (Americans
Working Together), who in turn asked his readership to email Jarvis that the entire USMC would make every effort to have him
relieved of his duties if he moved that monument. I was copied on many of the emails to him from Marines, their friends and
their families that it nearly fried my computer. And...it worked. In order to save his job, Jarvis backed down. The
Remembrance now belongs to the USMC and has its' rightful place in direct view of the USS ARIZONA.

SECOND
REQUEST:
Dear Senator Oroho,
I'm writing this request (again) on behalf of Jack Cunningham, a former
active duty Marine and Vietnam veteran. Although I've never actually met him in person, simply the fact that he is a
fellow Marine in need of justice, I offer to help him in any way I can. As you may know, Marines are like that.
Marines take care of Marines.
Although I probably don't know all of the facts pertaining to his case against the State
of New Jersey, I know enough to firmly believe that he should be heard in a public forum. His charges are serious.
There are claims of abuse of power and cover-up at the highest level of the State government. When such accusations
are made, I believe the leadership has no other option than to investigate. Until that is done, all that know of him
and his charges will assume that there is indeed a cover-up. Perception is a powerful thing. Hopefully it won't
be counter to the truth, whatever that may be.
If this is allowed to continue to fester, the results will be devastating
on all involved.
If this issue is not addressed soon, my only other option is to forward this to every Marine
website and public forum I can find. That option is not a good one for any of us.
Please do the right thing and
give Jack his "day in court."
Very Respectfully, John R. Bates

"There is... a deep anti-military bias in the media.
One that begins from the premise that the military must be lying, and that American projection of power around the world must
be wrong. I think that that is a hangover from Vietnam, and I think it's very dangerous." -- Terry Moran, Chief
