Wantage, N.J. - The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-2 tornado
touched down in New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the NWS say the tornado hit ground at 2 p.m. in Carbon County,
Pa., then moved to Monroe County, Pa., crossed the Delaware River, and ended up in Sussex County, N.J.
EF-2 tornadoes have wind gusts of 111 to 135 miles per hour.
