Media, PA (November 11, 2006) - The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum will present the premier screening of “In the Company of Heroes”, the story of the 101st Airborne Division,
506 PIR, Easy Company also known as The Band of Brothers. The film is the second of four films from the World War II era that the PA Veterans
Museum is producing. The film is one hour long and open to the public.
The
U.S. Veterans Legacy Project will host the 47th Annual Veterans Day Parade. The Veterans Parade will honor
those who served their country as Medics. Over 4,000 students and 25 Veterans groups participate in the parade. Following
the parade a ceremony will take place in front of the Delaware County Courthouse.
During the afternoon
the PA Veterans Museum will celebrate the unveiling of their exhibit dedicated to Women and the Home Front during World War
II.
That evening,
the Museum will partner with the Media Theatre to present the performance of Paying
the Price… a true story of Patriotism. The play takes place during the World War II era. Students who
visit the Museum on class trips will also see the play.

Media, PA’s 47th Annual Veterans Day Parade
The Parade begins at State Street and Edgemont and continues less than ¾ mile to the Delaware County
Courthouse on Front Street. Area residents who served their country
as medics will be the Grand Marshalls for the 47th Annual Media Veterans Day. The Delaware County
Veterans’ Day Parade has been nationally recognized for honoring those who served their country in all capacities. Former
Grand Marshalls include the renowned Band of Brothers, the Tuskegee Airmen, Korean War Veterans, Viet
Nam Veterans and returning service personnel from the Iraqi War. More than 4,000 students, 8 county marching bands and 25
county veteran groups are expected to participate.

2:00 p.m. Veterans Day Program Begins at the Museum
The Museum is free and open to the public all day.
2:30 p.m.
The Museum will unveil their latest exhibit featuring the Women of World War II and the Home Front. This
exhibit honors the women who answered the call of duty when they were officially allowed to serve their
country. Personal interviews of Pennsylvania Women offer the visitor compelling stories.

Performance of Paying the Price… a true story of Patriotism

“Paying the Price”
is based upon the book “Flaming Arrow: WWII as seen from a B-17”. This play is a three-character drama depicting
the story of a young man who becomes a tail gunner on a B-17 named “Flaming Arrow”, battling
his way across the skies of Europe, and becoming a POW in Romania where he was cared for by Pricess Catherine Caraja.
The play is approximately one hour in length.
The PA Veterans Museum is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to preserve the legacy and dignity of
all U.S. military veterans of Pennsylvania
by presenting a living history of their service experiences. The museum’s
goal is to ensure that current and future generations will understand the true nature of war, and recognize the sacrifices
